Our next observed holiday will be Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 27th. During
this week, residential and commercial service will be delayed - Thursday
service will be provided on Friday, Friday service will be provided on
Saturday.
Chula Vista single-family households that have a current account with Allied Waste Services are entitled to two free landfill and two free yard waste passes per calendar year.
The passes are good for 60 days and can be mailed to your service address if they are requested by phone, fax or online.
With proof of Chula Vista residency, passes may also be picked up at Allied Waste Services, 881 Energy Way.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please consider using one of your free annual yard waste passes whenever you are recycling an exceptionally large amount of yard waste.
Landfill and Yard Passes can be used at the Otay Landfill during normal
operating hours - Monday to Saturday, 7AM - 4PM - Closed New Years Day,
Thanksgiving and Christmas
Chula Vista households may have up to 9 bulky items picked up weekly on their scheduled service day free of charge.

Free bulky items service includes non-hazardous, non-infectious household bulky items such as empty propane tanks, scrap metal, refrigerators, washers, sofa, chair, mattress, lawn furniture, barbeque, or appliance that can be easily and safely moved by hand or hand truck.
Items that weight over 60 pounds and cannot be easily handled by hand or hand truck, will be picked up for an additional collection charge.
This service does not include items brought from another location or generated from a business conducted in the home. These items may be collected for an additional collection charge.
Loose construction demolition, yard waste and other such items are not considered bulky items and should be properly recycled or disposed of at a permitted drop-off facility or call Allied Waste for a temporary roll-off box or bin service.
Allied Waste Services collects and recycles used oil placed in State certified used oil recycling containers at the curb. Used oil containers are available at most Chula Vista auto repair supply shops or we can deliver them to your home.

It is illegal to dispose of television and computer monitors/Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) in the landfill. We will collect them curbside from your home for recycling for a small fee of $5.
